The warehouse receives the shipment, the purchasing department closes the order, and everyone thinks the difficult part is finished.

Then the maintenance team opens the packages and asks a very simple question:

“Who is going to install this?”

That is when the real problem sometimes begins.

Buying the Product Is Only One Part of the Project

Do Not Assume the Installer Knows the Product

That does not mean the installation is complicated.

It simply means the team should have the relevant information before starting.

The Warehouse Is Not Always the Best Place to Store the Fill

If the material is delivered several days before installation, the customer should make sure there is a clean and suitable temporary storage area.

Packages should also be organized so that the installation team can identify different specifications without opening everything.

What Happens When the Installation Team Finds Something Unexpected?

During removal of the old fill, the team may discover damaged supports, unexpected piping or differences between the actual tower and the original drawings.

The manufacturer cannot solve every site condition remotely, but good communication can make the response much faster.

Photographs and measurements from the site can often help determine whether the supplied Cooling Tower Fill can be installed as planned or whether an adjustment is required.

Standard Fill and Customized Fill Should Be Treated Differently
